The Anatomy and Biomechanics of Walking
for health & fitness professionals
Dana Rose Arevalo, CMT, MBW
Proper walking technique is crucial for lifelong vibrant health. Understand and refine your working knowledge of gait and posture in action to improve your client’s outcome.
The Anatomy and Biomechanics of Walking (ABW) program is designed for health professionals with a working knowledge of anatomy who are dedicated to improving their clients’ and students’ vitality through efficient biomechanics when walking.
- Learn a variety of assessment tools to observe imbalances: range of motion testing, palpation, and video/photo gait analysis.
- Discover which muscles might be inhibiting ideal gait and creating repetitive stress injuries and learn targeted strategies to correct them.
- Optimize biomechanics to free your clients for greater lift, alignment, and power every time they walk.
- Be inspired by conversations with your colleagues, their insights, experiences, and successes.
Join master teacher and body worker Dana Rose Arevalo, CMT, MBW for an 8-week comprehensive online training program – with a last session of hands-on in Mill Valley, CA (also available by ZOOM).
This is a required program for Dynamic Walking Coaching Certification in which Dana is a teacher. Dynamic Walking (DW) is a biomechanically based and medically recommended re-training program. Now in its third decade, the method systematically improves posture, balance, and flexibility while improving efficient gait.
The Dynamic Walking online program runs concurrently with the ABW program and is recommended but not required.
